Good to know

- Keep your face out of the water. If it gets in your eyes, rinse with fresh water straight away.
- Don't shave for a day or two before: every nick stings.
- Float on your back, don’t swim or dive, and get out after 10 to 20 minutes.
- Most beaches have a mud pit: smear it on, let it dry, rinse it off.
- In December the air is about 21 °C and the water 24 to 25 °C. The sun sets around 17:30.
What to wear
Casual. An old swimsuit (the salt is hard on fabric) and water shoes.
