The shortcut between Weibdeh and the old city: about 11 minutes down, longer up.
Arriving
From Queen Alia airport to Weibdeh, and what to do on your first evening.
Queen Alia International (AMM) is 33 km south of Weibdeh and downtown: about 35 minutes by car, or up to an hour in traffic.
- Careem or Uber: book in the app, or at the booth at Arrivals Gate 3. Expect 15 to 28 JOD, and check the quote in the app.
- Airport taxi: the counter is at the customs exit and the rank at Arrivals Level 1, Gate 2. Fares are fixed and posted at the stand, about 22 to 30 JOD to downtown.
- Airport Express bus: 3.40 JOD (Visa accepted), every 30 to 60 minutes until after midnight, hourly on Fridays. Check the timetable with Sariyah before you rely on it. Get off at the 4th Circle and take a taxi from there.
- Your hotel can arrange a pickup. Agree the price first.

Your first evening
Have a coffee by Paris Circle in Weibdeh, or take the Al-Kalha stairs down to the old city for knafeh at Habibah. Both are a few minutes from the hotels.
